To be a self-published author really means you are the author and you are also the publisher.

You get to choose your book title, subtitle, book cover and how the inside pages are laid out and designed.
You can also decide what platforms you would like to use to distribute to your book. There are so many options for printing, publishing and distributing your book, and you get to choose what is best suited to the goals you have for yourself and your book.
Once you have written your manuscript and had it polished, you can upload your eBook onto some of the biggest online book retailers in the world and have them available within 24 hours. Amazon, for example already has the audience for your book.
Readers can buy your kindle book at the click of a button and have it download direct to their device.
You can also have your print books available to buyers at the click of a button and have them distributed to countries all over the world, and you don’t need to post them yourself.
There have been some fantastic examples of authors who have become famous by self-publishing their own books, which may have been initially rejected by big publishing houses.
Self-publishing a book is simply something everyone needs to do.
No matter what format you choose to publish your book, it is simply the best legacy you can leave in the world.
