Is FEAR stopping you Writing your book?

FearWhenever you do anything new or something for the first time is it NORMAL you feel FEAR. It even has a word- Resistance! It is how your body protects you, it’s the way it says caution something new is happening that I don’t know about it. What successful people do is to feel the fear and do it anyway. They do not let fear stop them. It is a myth that people think successful people are different and don’t feel fear. They are human too and certainly do feel fear, though after time they learn to recognise it, acknowledge it, analyse it but most of all don’t let it paralyse them.

On the other side of FEAR, is everything you have ever wanted, and most importantly is the door to FREEDOM and FULFILLMENT. Someone else may show you the door, but YOU have to be the one to walk through it.Being an author is another journey, and like any new journey it starts with a single step. The first decision might be to make today THE day, you stop saying, “one day I will write a book”, and decide this is the day you will actually take the first step to becoming a published author. That’s the first step done. Everything starts with a new decision.

Visualising yourself signing copies of your book, even get your book cover designed at the start and hang it on your vision board. Famous authors like Wayne Dyer and Jack Canfield have used this technique and I used it too at the start of my book series. The subconscious mind is VERY VERY powerful and brings about what is sees with the mind. The more you can visualise your book, and feel the feelings of being a published author and STOP listening to anyone telling you (including yourself), that you are not SMART enough, not GOOD enough, not an EXPERT, not a WRITER, then the faster you can bring your book into reality.  Every material  item on planet earth was once in someone’s imagination, a watch, a plane, a wedding dress, a song, an artwork, a book, so never underestimate the role your mind plays in becoming a published author. The only difference between someone who imagined the idea and made the idea into a reality is they took ACTION. A book is simply turning your inspiration into a publication.

It is up to you to recognise resistance, walk through the door, take the first step and keep taking action toward your goal until it is a reality. Unlike a singer, artist, painter you don’t have to be TALENTED to become a published author. You just need to have PASSION and want to be able to serve others with your message or story, the rest is simply details.

The most common reason (excuse) people give for not becoming a published author is they don’t know where to start. You need to start with the end in mind and follow a proven system. Excuses are just a form of fear and I have heard them all. What I know for sure is, if writing  a book is important to you, you will do it, if it’s not you will find an excuse. The choice is all yours.

I hope you choose to Share Your Message. Make a Difference. Leave a Legacy.
